On January 7, Uttar Pradesh police arrested a man in a murder case that falls under Prem Nagar police station area of Jhansi. The case was cracked within 24-hours.
Senior Superintendent of police, Dinesh Kumar P told reporters that the deceased identified as Rahul Ahirwar alias Sonu was found dead on January 6. Thereafter, two teams were formed under the leadership of the CO Sadar and the ASP.
Kumar said that the team worked on the case rigorously and nabbed one Asif, the main accused in the case. Later, detailed investigation revealed that Ahirwar’s wife, Pinky, was in an extra-marital relationship with Asif, which led to the murder of her husband.
Case:
The deceased was suspicious about his wife being romantically involved with Asif. When the duo were alerted that Rahul was aware of their relationship, they decided to eliminate the husband.
On January 5, the accused man had invited the deceased to have drinks with him, which were laced with sleeping pills. After Rahul fell unconscious, they reached Lalitpur in a car in which the murder took place. Asif got drunk and attacked Rahul’s neck with a sharp knife.
He was then thrown out of the car and Pinky was intimated from Rahul’s phone about the same. Later, Asif proceeded to clean the car, however, since sunrise had already taken place, he managed to clean it only from the outside. He also ended up parking the vehicle closer to his home.
The next morning when he went to pick up the car, the cops were waiting to arrest him. Asif was arrested and interrogated, where he admitted to have murdered Rahul. He also informed police that he was in a relationship with Pinky, who was a part of planning this murder.
Asif was arrested by the cops from the Jhansi Hotel intersection on the route from Nawabad to Allahabad Bank intersection.
The car and the knife used in murdering the man has been recovered. After Asif’s arrest, Pinky was also arrested from her residence in Rajgarh. Both the accused are sent for judicial custody.
